Washington - Alaska District LWML Mission Grants 2010 - 2012

Tacoma Seafarers’ Center - Tacoma, WA	$5,000

Funds from this grant will be used to purchase Bibles and Daily Devotion booklets in several languages. On many days, 50 or more Seafarers come into the Tacoma Seafarer’ Center from many nations (China, Philippines, Ukraine, India, Greece, Turkey, Myanmar, etc). Since Seafarers are not in their own country, they will often accept a Bible, even if they are of another belief, which would not be possible in their home country. It is the prayer of the Center that through introducing salvation through the Word, we will some day see these lost Seafarers in heaven with us.
Prayer: Dear Lord, as you move the seafarer’s to step into the Tacoma Seafarer’s Center we pray that there will always be materials available to them presenting your Gospel message. The mites of the Washington-Alaska District LWML can help to provide materials, and your Grace providesthe people who staff the center and help to spread your message. Bless this ministry, the staff, and the volunteers who make this possible to so many of the lost who live and work on the sea. Amen.
