Aid to Seminary Students $10,500

Three LCMS Seminary students from the Pacific Northwest have requested financial aid. Richard Ken Dockery was called by God after retiring from the Air Force and is a first- year student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. In February 2006, Ken plans to go on a servant event to work with the people who live in the dumps in Guatemala. Together, he and his wife are on a five-year track with a desire to return to Alaska to work for Christ. Matthew Jennings was a teacher at Concordia Elementary School, Seattle, for a number of years. He is now a seminary student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He is married with four young children and is asking for assistance in both living and seminary expenses. Douglas J. Taylor was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Milton, Washington, prior to enrollment at Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He is facing major debts, because of student loans, once he begins his ministry.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are thankful that with our mites we can help Richard Dockery, Matthew Jennings, and Douglas Taylor as they prepare to serve the Lord as pastors.   As they study at the seminaries in Fort Wayne and St. Louis, keep their minds clear and their hearts pure.  Give them extra measures of strength so that they remain physically healthy and spiritually strong.  Please also bless their loved ones who are with them as they study.  Bless each congregation at which these men will minister at the close of their seminary days.

In His name we pray.  Amen.
