Mission Grants  2006 - 2008

Washington & Alaska Hmong Gospel Outreach - CAME $7,000

More than 95% of the close to 55,000 Hmong people living in Washington and Alaska are unchurched.  The goal of this grant is to help initiate and develop LCMS mission sites in Spokane, then Seattle, and later Alaska. After a new missionary is brought on board, the NW District, Center for Asian Mission and Evangelism (CAME) and area congregations will provide the funds to support this work, including the salary of the temporary Mission Facilitator, travel expenses for Pauline missionary journeys, and resources for Hmong Outreach Missions (books, CDs, Bibles, etc.).  [CAME has helped to plant and develop about two dozen Hmong mission sites in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, North Carolina, and California.]

Dear God,

We pray that a new mission site for the Hmong people in Washington and Alaska will soon be established through the giving of our mites.  Bless this outreach so the Hmong people will know Christ as their Lord and Savior through your Word as well as books and CD’s.  Thank you that our mites also help the salary and travel expenses of the temporary mission facilitator for this Hmong gospel outreach program.

In Jesus' name we pray.  Amen.
