Lutheran Chaplain for Sea-Tac Washington Federal Detention Center $10,000

The Federal Detention Center currently has no regular Lutheran presence.  Chaplain William Clements has been serving the King County jails (3000-bed facilities) in downtown Seattle and Kent, Washington for over ten years with great success.  The new Federal Facility (a 1000-bed facility) currently has no regular clergy presence beyond the full-time Federal Chaplain and occasional visits from other Pentecostal and Bible Church pastors.  The purpose of the funds would be used to provide a two-year start-up salary for a part-time chaplain at the Federal Detention Center in Sea-Tac, Washington.

O God,

We come before You, asking for Your forgiveness, peace, and comfort for the men and women in the Sea-Tac Federal Detention Facility in Washington state.  We bring our mites to You with great joy, so that there will be a start-up salary for a part-time Lutheran chaplain in this facility.  Help this chaplain to reach the inmates so that they may also know that Jesus died and rose for their sins.  May our Lord’s richest joys and blessings be on this project.

In Christ we pray.  Amen.
