Beth Albrecht

Beth is from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spokane. She
would like to get a music degree and teach. She has over
ten years of piano lessons, and she also sings. Her faith
shines in all she does whether it is with singing, teaching
Sunday school or working with youth.
Gail Ludvigson
Concordia
Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN
Gail is working in the deaconess program. Her
previous work experience has been rich and diverse. She
has a law degree and is a former Special Assistant U.S.
Attorney. She has also worked as a professor for City
University in Seattle in Slovakia and has spent 3 months in
South Korea teaching English. Gail prays for God’s leading
and hopes to enter the mission field when she graduates.
She has been a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Seattle for
the past ten years.
Ellyn Hanson

University Irvine, CA
Ellyn is a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in
Snohomish, WA. She would like to be a Director of
Christian Education. She spent time with her family in the
summers volunteering for Alaska Mission for Christ in the
Southeast. A year ago she went with her family to Kenya
and visited Springs of Life Lutheran Church. There she
decided to prepare for a career in Lutheran church work.
During her freshman year she has been busy with Homeless
ministry, theater, choir, and CUI’s Civic Engagement programs.
MacKenzie Carpenter

MacKenzie and her family are members of Zion Lutheran Church in
Tacoma. She has been active in her church and youth activities.
She attended the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans and
this helped inspire her to pursue a career in church work.
She has a love for God’s Word and a servant’s heart.
Krista Freitag

University Mequon, WI
Krista's dad is a chaplain in the army, and her mother is a
Lutheran teacher. Her desire to enter church work began
with her teachers in high school. She wants to make a
difference in the world by sharing the Gospel through teaching.
Her life displays this through her various activities with Bible
study; mission trips, Vacation Bible School, Children’s
ministries, youth and other related experiences. Krista
also received a scholarship in 2008.
