Short-Term Missions
The purpose of the Short-Term Missions Committee is to encourage LWML district members to serve in the mission field at home or away, offering resources and assistance to create and plan short-term missions in our district, the country, and the world.

Short Term Missions Committee August Update
News Flash - Short-Term Missions is a Mission Grant for 2026-2028!
“Here I am! Send me! – this phrase burned in our hearts this July at the district convention in Spokane. Over 150 of us were challenged and, through us, you are also challenged to respond.
There is no season for sharing Christ – it is possible any time! How about a winter event? Would spring give you time to prepare? Next summer? Will you go by plane, train, car, or foot? Will you plan for a week-long VBS? A month-long clean-up effort? A one-day Bible study and interaction? Will you go with a group of two? Or more? Alone?
Let the Spirit lead and pray for an open heart as you consider a short-term mission. Download a Short-Term Mission application form from the district website and let the LWML Washington-Alaska District support you with a grant.
To paraphrase Dr. Seuss: Oh, the places you’ll go, when you hear God’s call . . . a land far away? Or somewhere near? Where the pall of sin covers all. You have been washed! You can share the Good News! All can be cleansed and made new like you!
So, get on your feet! Listen for God’s call. Look around for where and when; and plan to go with help from your friends at LWML.
