Our 2026 LWML Washington-Alaska District Convention Personalities

We are so blessed to welcome some very special people to our 2026 District Convention this coming July.

First, our Bible Study Leader and Keynote Speaker, Deb Burma. As a gifted speaker and author, we will be blessed as she leads us into a deeper understanding of the convention theme verse, "Here I am! Send me" (Isaiah 6:8).

Our Proclaimer for the Friday night worship service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spokane is our LCMS District President, Rev. Dr. Michael Von Behren. We will never think of "Under-armor" the same way after his wonderful sermon at the 2024 LWML district convention in Everett! What will he share this time? You will need to be there to find out!

Representing our national LWML is the Public Relations Director, Debbie Yocky. We look forward to hearing news from LWML President, Eden Keefe and sharing the latest in our national LWML.

We have a wonderful surprise with our Mites in Action Speaker! Tom Watson, representing the Orphan Grain Train (OGT), is bringing news of how our Mission Grant of $5,000 given in the 2024-2026 biennium assisted the organization's ministry in Ukraine. Beyond that, Rev. Ray Wilke, the founder and president of OGT is coming to share how this ministry began and his great love for the Lord and Ukraine. I can't wait to hear his story!

Spokane is getting ready for a wonderful convention along the river! See you soon!

In His Service,
Carolyn Holbrook, President
